CFSC - Canadian Firearms Safety Course
The training provided in the Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC) prepares students with beginner level knowledge on the responsibilities of possessing and using non-restricted firearms, their safe use and handling as well as storage of firearms and ammunition. The course requires a mandated minimum of 8 hours to complete not including lunch, breaks or the written and practical tests.
We do not teach minimum hour courses. Our students get extra time with hands-on firearms handling, we spend extra time on ammunition as well as the laws pertaining to firearms use and storage to ensure our students are trained beyond the minimum required standard. Our courses are usually conducted over a Friday evening 6-10:30 pm and Saturday 8am-6pm. Once the lecture material has been presented, we conduct the written and individual practical tests. Students may also choose to do thier tests on the following Monday to Thursday by appointment.
Mentors are encouraged to attend with thier minor students.

- Safe storage, display, transportation, and handling of firearms
- Minors who successfully complete the CFSC course can apply for a Minor’s Licence with parental consent
- Students may take the CFSC and CRFSC or the OHEP (Ontario Hunter Education Course) together as a Back-to-Back course for a discounted rate but it is not required that all the courses be taken back to back however the CFSC must be taken first
- 100% course attendance is required to complete the test
- Retests must be taken within 30 days
CRFSC - Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course
The training provided in the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course (CRFSC) prepares students with beginner level knowledge on the responsibilities of possessing and using restricted firearms, their safe use and handling as well as storage of firearms and ammunition. (This course requires successful completion of the CFSC course to participate). The course takes a minimum of 6 hours to complete not including the written and practical test.
We generally offer the CRFSC on Sundays in conjunction with a CFSC course on Friday and Saturday. Students who have previously taken the CFSC may take the CRFSC as a standalone course.
The CRFSC takes place from 8am to 3:30pm depending on the class size, not including the written and practical tests.
You will learn:

- Operating restricted firearm actions
- Safe handling and carry procedures
- Responsibilities of the restricted firearms owner/user
- Safe storage, display, transportation, and handling of restricted firearms
- Successful completion of the CFSC or a current PAL holder with non restricted priviledges
- Applicants must be 18+ to apply for a PAL with restricted privileges
- Minors may take the CRFSC course for educational purposes only with parental consent (To apply for a PAL after the age of 18, students must retake the course and pass the written and practical exams)

OHEP - Ontario Hunter Education Program
The Ontario Hunter Education Course will teach new hunters about:
- Hunting laws and regulations
- Hunter responsibilities
- Wildlife management
- Hunting safety and equipment
- Hunting techniques
- Wildlife identification
Course hours are 8am-6pm not including the written exam
